Survey: My downstairs neighbour is doing my head in with his noise. What should i do?

This morning the tit woke me up playing his electric guitar early, it went on all day until about 6pm then he went out. He's come back now and has "daytripper" by The Beatles on full blast. I hate that song anyway. What's the best tactic? Should i be aggressive or should i go down and chap on his door weeping?
